How to Draw a Candy

Simple steps in drawing cute candy.

Materials

  • Pencil
  • Paper
  • Coloring Material

Instructions

Step 1: Draw the Guide

A rectangle as the first step in drawing candy.

We made this guide for you to be guided on how to perfectly draw the center of your candy. Begin this step by drawing a rectangle in the center of your paper. The size of the candy will depend on how big the rectangle you’ve drawn.

Step 2: Add Lines

Drawing arcs inside the rectangle.

Candies are always round, with that, let’s add a curved line in four corners of the rectangle. Expected that there is an oval inside the rectangle. This oval is the expected shape of your candy. You can use drawing material for you to get the perfect shape of your candy.

Step 3: Remove the Guide

Removing edges of the rectangle.

Since the shape of the candy is perfectly done it’s time to erase the guide, which is the rectangle. Now, I want you to carefully erase each corner of the rectangle. Be sure to erase it carefully so that the curved line inside will not be included.

Step 4: Draw the Wrapper

Adding arcs on the side of the candy.

The main part of the candy is now drawn, so for this next step of our tutorial on how to draw candy, we will draw the wrapper of our candy. I want you to draw a big letter C on both sides of the candy. The letter must be facing outward and the size will depend on the size of your candy.

Step 5: Add Details

Fifth step in drawing a candy.

Let’s complete the wrapper by enclosing it with a curved line. We sketched two long curved lines in each inverted letter C. If you are confused just, try to look at the reference image above for you to be guided.

Step 6: Add Beauty to the Wrapper

Sixth step in drawing candy.

To add beauty to our wrapper we must use 3 connected small, curved lines to it. Start the curved line inside the bottom part of the wrapper. Make sure that all the small curved lines are connected until it reaches the opposite side.

Step 7: Remove Extra Line

Seventh step in drawing candy.

Removing lines from your drawing will help a lot to make your drawing better. On the right side, I want you to erase the line beside the small, curved lines on the wrapper. Then do this on the other side of the candy. Again, be careful about erasing the lines because you might erase the important lines.

Step 8: Add Details and add the Eye Guide

Drawing circle in the candy.

Let’s add details to our candy by adding a curved line in between the candy and the wrapper. Do this on both sides of the candy. Then for the eye guide, draw two small circles in the middle of the candy. The circles must be a little bigger.

Step 9: Draw the Eyeball and Mouth

Adding details to the eyes of the candy.

We are now done with the eye guide of our candy. This time, we will put eyeballs on each of our eye guides. For the mouth, just simply draw the letter C under the eyes, facing upward. Then, erase the curved line inside the details that you’ve drawn earlier in step eight.

Step 10: Finish up!

Final step in drawing candy.

Hurray, you made it! Now, this is a fantastic opportunity to incorporate some of your very favorite colors to create your perfect candy design. After that, don’t forget to show it to your family and friends.   Congratulations kiddo.
