This page explains how VerbNow decides what to publish, how printables are tested, and what we do when we get something wrong. If you ever want to check whether a page here is trustworthy, this is the standard to hold us to.
Who writes and reviews
Everything on VerbNow is written and reviewed by Nora Whitfield, who taught preschool and kindergarten for nine years before making printables full time. VerbNow does not publish guest posts, sponsored articles, or contributed content from brands.
How a printable is tested before it’s published
- Age target set first. Every set is designed for a stated age band. Stroke weight, line spacing, repetition count, and difficulty are chosen for that band rather than adjusted afterward.
- Printed on ordinary paper. We print on 20 lb copy paper on a home inkjet in black and white — the setup most people actually have. We check for bleed-through, cut-off margins, and designs that drain ink.
- Used by children in the target age band. A worksheet that looks correct and holds no attention has failed.
- Timed or measured where it makes sense. Mazes get solved and timed. Tracing sets get completed. Charts get run for at least a week before we describe how well they hold up.
- Limitations written down. Where something falls short — too easy, too ink-heavy, awkward under markers, boring by day four — that goes in the post.
How we handle product recommendations
We only recommend supplies we have bought and used ourselves — paper, markers, crayons, printers, laminators, binders. We do not recommend a product we haven’t handled, and we don’t rank products by commission rate. When a cheaper option works as well, we say so. When the honest answer is “you don’t need to buy anything for this,” that’s the answer you’ll get.

Corrections and updates
If a file prints wrong, a link breaks, or something we wrote is inaccurate, tell us through the contact page and we’ll fix it. Substantive corrections are noted in the post rather than quietly edited out. Pages are reviewed and refreshed as designs are improved or replaced; the update date shown on a post reflects real changes to it, not an automated timestamp bump.
Where we stop
VerbNow covers activities, printables, and practical classroom and home routines. We do not offer developmental assessment, medical guidance, therapy advice, or special-education recommendations. Where a topic touches those areas, we say plainly that it’s outside our scope and point toward a qualified professional.
On AI
Drafting and editing tools may be used in producing text on this site, but every page is directed, checked, and signed off by a person, and every claim about how a printable performs comes from actually printing and using it. We do not publish text describing an experience that did not happen.
