Status: in development. Printable Maker is not open yet. This page describes what we are building and how it will work, and you can leave your email below to hear when the beta opens.
VerbNow Printable Maker is a tool for parents and teachers. You say what your child is into and how old they are, and you get a printable activity pack made for that age: coloring pages and color-by-number pages with an answer key, as one PDF on US Letter paper.
How it will work
- Describe the pack. For example: “dinosaurs for a five-year-old, six pages”. The assistant asks a short question if something is missing, then proposes a plan.
- Review every page. You see each page before anything is final. Ask for a page to be redrawn, made easier, or made harder.
- Approve and print. Nothing is downloadable until you approve it. Then you get one PDF, ready for a home printer.
What does the work
- Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, plans and checks. It talks with you, turns your request into a pack plan for the right age, screens requests that are not suitable for young children, and inspects each finished page for mistakes before you see it.
- An image model draws the line art. Pictures only: black outlines on white, no shading.
- Our own code places every letter and number. Sums, legends and answer keys are calculated and drawn by code, because image models misdraw text. The answer key always matches the page.
It builds on the process we already use to make the printables on this site. How We Build VerbNow describes it in full.
Sample pages
Two pages generated by a development build in October 2026, shown exactly as they came out. Both are AI-generated line art that passed our automated print checks.
What is ready and what is not
| Part | Status |
|---|---|
| Coloring page generation with automated print checks | Working in development builds |
| Color-by-number pages | Working in our own production, being adapted for the tool |
| Answer keys | In development |
| Name tracing pages | In design |
| Chat, accounts and PDF packs | Not built yet |
| Public beta | No date yet |
Made for adults, printed for children
- Accounts are for adults. A parent or teacher uses the tool. The child gets paper and crayons, and never interacts with the AI.
- AI is labeled. Every generated page is marked as AI-generated in the preview.
- You approve before anything is final. There is no way to download a page you have not seen.
- No information about your child is stored. A name typed for a tracing page is drawn onto the page and is not saved in our database or sent to an AI model.
- No characters or brands owned by others. Ask for “a friendly space robot”, not a named one.
Hear when the beta opens
We will use your email only to tell you when Printable Maker opens. The form opens a confirmation page in a new tab. You can also write to hello@verbnow.com.
