I think penguins are adorable and so do my grandchildren. I have always said they waddle when they walk and interestingly enough, they actually are referred to as a waddle when walking on land as a group. When they are swimming together in a group, they are referred to as a raft. They like to huddle together, especially when they are living in very cold temperatures since it helps them to stay warm. Penguins appear like they are flying when swimming the ocean or sea and have feet that are adapted to ensure they can not only swim well but walk long distances on land. Although many cartoons show penguins hanging out with a polar bear or two, they actually do not like to be near them.
