These are drawn in animation-cel style rather than cartoon style — every shell plate is outlined, the wrappings on the hands and feet are drawn strand by strand, and the backgrounds are built from brick courses, fire escapes and girders. It means a page holds a lot of small enclosed areas, and it means the four characters are told apart by weapon and mask, not by color: a bo staff, a pair of sai, twin katana, nunchucks. On a black-and-white sheet that distinction is the only one there is, so a child decides who is who by what they are holding.

Eighteen pages give one turtle the sheet: crouched on a ledge with a staff across the back, mid-leap with sai drawn, arms folded against a brick wall, a close-up grin filling the frame. Backgrounds stay simple on most of these — a wall, a rooftop edge, a burst of speed lines — so they are the pages to start with if the team scenes look too busy.
Team scenes
Twenty pages put two, three or all four together: standing in a line ready to fight, running down an alley, crowded around a table, leaping from a rooftop over the skyline. These carry the most figures and the most background detail in the set, and they are the ones that take more than one sitting.
Human characters and one-offs
Three pages bring in people — a woman with a ponytail standing beside a turtle on a rooftop, a conversation in a doorway, a street scene. Three more break the pattern entirely: riding a motorcycle, riding a bicycle, and one turtle on a beach with a slice of pizza held over his head. That last one is the lightest page in the collection and the easiest to hand a younger sibling.
How to print these
Every page is US Letter (8.5 × 11 in), pure black and white, with the drawing inside the printable margin. Plain copy paper is fine; choose “Fit to page” if your printer asks. Print at normal or best quality — the hand wrappings and shell plating are drawn with thin lines that draft mode merges into grey.

How do I tell the four turtles apart on a black-and-white page?
By the weapon. A bo staff, a pair of sai, twin katana and nunchucks are drawn distinctly, and the mask tails differ in length. The color is up to whoever holds the crayons.
What age are these for?
About 8 and up. The line work is fine and the backgrounds are dense — brickwork, girders, fire escapes — which is slow going for younger children.
