22 Free Summer Coloring Pages (Beach, Pool, PDF)

This collection has 22 free summer coloring pages: eight beach scenes with children in them, five beach still lifes with no people, three pool and playground pages, three summer outings and three character pages. Every page is black and white on US Letter, downloads as a free PDF, and needs no signup.

The useful split here is with people or without. The scenes with children — sandcastles, a beach ball catch, a hammock between palms — carry faces and clothing, so they need a steadier hand. The still lifes are just objects on sand: an umbrella, a striped ball, a hat, a coconut drink, a surfboard leaning on a pineapple. Those are the pages that suit the youngest colorers and the ones that hold up as summer decoration once they are done.

Beach days

Eight pages are children at the shore: two of them building a sandcastle with bucket and spade, one throwing a beach ball, one riding a float with a snorkel mask pushed up, one on the water with a boat behind, and a family lying across a hammock strung between two palms. The horizon runs across every page, which gives a large sky and sea to fill before the small details start.

Beach objects with no people

Five pages leave the figures out: a parasol with a striped ball and a sun hat, a sailboat passing a lighthouse, a rowing boat pulled up on sand at sunset, a coconut drink beside a palm and an ice lolly, a surfboard standing against a pineapple. Big simple shapes and thick outlines — these are the easiest pages in the set, and the ones to hand a three- or four-year-old.

Pool, playground and outings

Six pages move away from the sand: a slide and climbing frame in a park, a curling water slide with children queueing on the ladder, an adult resting in a deckchair by the water, a rollercoaster car mid-drop, a girl waiting at an ice cream van, and a dog leaping a garden fence in the sun. These are the busiest scenes in the collection.

Three character pages

Three pages are portrait-style: a girl framed in an oval with palms behind her, a figure sitting on a rock playing a guitar over the waves, and a bearded figure in a red hat and summer shorts under a palm tree — a Christmas-in-July page hiding in a summer set.

How to print these

Every page is US Letter (8.5 × 11 in), pure black and white, with the drawing inside the printable margin. Plain copy paper is fine; choose “Fit to page” if your printer asks. The still-life pages have the largest open areas on the site after the nature scenes, so they take a marker or a wash without the ink crossing into the next shape.

FAQ

Which summer pages suit a preschooler?

The five beach still lifes — umbrella, ball, boat, coconut drink, surfboard. Thick outlines, few shapes, nothing that needs a fine point.

Are there pool and water slide pages?

Yes — a water slide with children on the ladder, a poolside deckchair scene, and a playground with a slide, three pages in total.

Can I download the whole set as one PDF?

Not as a single file. Each page has its own Download PDF button in the grid, so you print only the scenes you want.

Do I need a color printer?

No. Every page prints in black and white; the color comes from your crayons or pencils.

For more seasonal sheets, the seasonal collection holds the rest of the year, and the nature coloring pages continue the outdoor scenes without the beach.
