A simple honey bee coloring page is free to download and fun to color, in my opinion. We’ve had a dozen beehives in our backyard for more than a decade now, so I may be partial–no pun intended! Bee coloring pages on printable sheets are educational, as well as gorgeous when colored in and touched up with glitter and other appliques. Be alert to these ways of using bee coloring pages at home.

Busy Bee Coloring Pages for Children
Children are constantly looking for a way to entertain themselves. Free printable coloring sheets do the trick around our place. Our daughters–we have three of them–love to pull out a stack of what we call “busy bee coloring pages” that are made for children. It’s so adorable seeing their cute little bees, and we often cut them out to hang on the fridge or windows.
Bumble Bee Coloring Page
A bumble bee coloring page a day keeps the blues away! Stay alert and have some fun like we do with a bumble bee coloring sheet readily available to print and color. We like to use a variety of markers including:
- Brush-tipped markers
- Fat body markers with wedge tips
- Felt tipped markers
- Fine tipped markers
These markers each create their own effects and have a different feel when applying them. I love working with water-based markers since these bleed and can easily be wet and mixed with water. Plus, these are easiest to wash out of children’s clothes or the tablecloth! I choose to print my printables on heavy duty watercolor paper when I am working with these markers for the best results.
Fun Bee Coloring Page Activities
A cool little project I would recommend for your children is fun bee coloring page activities. I’ve found printables with sweet bees that are buzzing haphazardly in a maze to compete around kittens and flowers. There are also fun bee coloring sets featuring activities like math puzzles and word spelling quizzes.
Bees Collect Honey Coloring Sheets
A bees collect honey coloring page is all about that oozing goodness of sugary and golden nectar of the hive. Yes, that’s right, I’m referring to honey. Get all of those yellow, orange, and shimmery gold markers and paints out for these because they beckon for brilliance.
Honey Bee Collecting Pages
When I want to color a honey bee collecting page, I typically look for Winnie the Pooh Bear coloring sheets. Here is where I love adding the warm, fuzzy brown character of Pooh and funny scenarios involving the honey bees trying to collect honey. Honey bees are also just as fuzzy as Winnie the Pooh, so it makes sense to put these two together.
Beehive Coloring Sheets
A beehive coloring sheet is another of my favorite springtime coloring pages. Full of honey, or just setting its hexagonal honeycomb cells, a beehive is a piece of art in and of itself. Adding my own sweet and velvety looking honey to this type of coloring sheet is so fulfilling! I generally tuck in a few of my signature bees to these based on the bees we have in these hives out back.
Transformers Coloring Pages
Of course, I can’t leave out the biggest bee coloring page of all–the Transformers coloring pages featuring Bumblebee. As one of the best vehicle coloring pages, the Transformers coloring sheets are very cool for children in our neighborhood.
The yellow and black color scheme of Bumblebee, the vehicle that is a robot, is much different than our beehive coloring pages, for sure! However, side by side, you can easily see a resemblance based on the nature of bees.
