The mane is what these pages hang on. On the adult lion it is drawn as dozens of overlapping locks radiating out from the face, each one its own closed shape, and it fills a third of the sheet. Colour it in two or three shades working outward and the whole page lifts; fill it flat and it goes dull. That single decision matters more here than anything else on the sheet.

Father and cub
Seven pages pair the two: sitting together looking out over the plain at sunrise, the cub tucked under a paw, walking side by side through long grass, the adult standing over the cub on a rock. These are the pages with the strongest silhouettes in the set, and the easiest to make look finished.
The cub and his friends
Five pages follow the young lion: asleep in a bed of leaves, walking a fallen log across a stream, running through a gorge, and two with the meerkat and the warthog — one grinning between them, one with the three lying back looking at the stars. Lighter line work and rounder shapes than the adult pages.
Portraits, the rival and the mandrill
Four pages are close-up: a roaring head filling the whole sheet, an adult standing at the edge of a cliff, a proud profile against clouds. Two more introduce the scarred rival and a pair of hyenas mid-snarl — the sharpest, most angular drawings here. One page shows the mandrill with his staff and a cub in his hands.
Two framed designs
Two pages set a lion inside a decorative border — one ringed with leaves and butterflies, one against chevrons and diamond panels. They behave more like poster designs than scenes, and they are the two pages here that a younger child can finish without meeting the mane.

Every page is US Letter (8.5 × 11 in), pure black and white, with the drawing inside the printable margin. Plain copy paper is fine; choose “Fit to page” if your printer asks. Print at normal or best quality — the mane locks sit close together and draft mode fuses them into a grey ring.
