Step 3: Sketch the body
This time, we will use the guide that you made in step two. Sketch the half body of the teacup by drawing a curved line from the left edge of the mouth then drag your pencil down to the bottom part of the vertical line in the center.
Step 4: Complete the Body
In continuation of the teacup’s body draw another curved line on the opposite side. Sketch the other half side of the teacup’s body by drawing a curved line from the right side of the teacup’s mouth then drag it down going to the bottom part of the vertical line.
Step 5: Add the Spill Guard Flat Base
The spill guard flat base is found on the bottom part of the teacup. Sketch the spill guard flat base in the bottom part of the teacup. We do this by drawing a small elongated oblong shape on the center of the bottom part of the teacup. This will slightly overlap the bottom part of the teacup.
Step 6: Add more Details
The spill guard flat base will help your teacup to stand alone without holding it. So, let’s complete the details of the spill guard flat base so that your teacup can stand alone. Sketch a short vertical line on both sides of the spill guard flat base. Do this, from the bottom part of the teacup going down to the spill guard flat base.
Step 7- 8: Clean up
We are done with the mouth, body, and the base of your teacup this time we must erase the lines that serve as the guide for making the body. I want you to erase the vertical line that is found in the center of the teacup. Then erase the curve that overlaps the bottom part of the teacup.
