Dinosaurs are part of a diverse group of reptiles and fall under the umbrella of Dinosauria. They made their first appearance during the Triassic period, which happened between 243 and 233.23 million years ago. While they became extinct after the Triassic-Jurassic period that happened 201.3 million years ago, many people still study them, talk about them, learn about them, and even want to color them.

Dinosaur Coloring Pages Background Info
Whether you are a kid or an adult, you will enjoy our free printable dinosaurs coloring pages. My grandson certainly do. One is in kindergarten and the other one is a preschooler and they’re both completely obsessed with dinosaurs. They even named their Mastiff-German Shepherd mix breed dog after the famous creatures. Her name is Dinolicious and, of course, they call her Dino for short. Every time they come to my house, they want me to use my computer and printer to print them out coloring pages of dinosaurs which I gladly do because it is a great way for them to use their fine motor skills and their imagination. They love each free dinosaur coloring page and it keeps these little ones busy for hours, along with dragon coloring pages, which closely resemble dinosaurs. Give them a crayon or colored pencils, and they immerse themselves in dinosaur activities for hours. Whether you have a big kid, you considered yourself to be an older kid, or your child is in preschool, you will all enjoy each printable dinosaurs coloring page for hours on end.
You can choose from a funny dinosaur coloring sheet, a dinosaur worksheet, a cute dinosaur coloring sheet, or a baby dinosaur coloring page. You can hang your dinosaur picture when you are finished creating it so that it will be on display when you have guests over. Nothing makes my grandsons happier than when I display their printable dinosaur coloring page in my home. You can even create an entire dinosaur coloring book for each of your children and yourself, for that matter. These dinosaur printables will provide fun and enjoyment for the entire family.
Paleontologists who have studied dinosaurs have been able to name almost 1,000 different dinosaur genera and each one is a little different from the others. There is something interesting and unique about each one of these that is very recognizable by both little kids and informed adults alike. Some of those include the Tyrannosaurus Rex, who is the undisputed king of all the dinosaurs. We have included a fierce-looking T-rex looking for prey in our free printable coloring pages.
The Triceratops is also very well-known as are the Velociraptor and Stegosaurus. We have included an illustration of a Stegosaurus standing on a rock with trees on a printable coloring page for your enjoyment.
