But the melodious song is be heard during the nesting season because through that they would inform predators about the location of the nest. For its nest, they build a cup-shaped nest by using dead leaves and fibrous roots. A nest is usually located on the ground or close to it in densely vegetated areas. This bird is mostly found in Europe and Asia.
Nightingale is a brown-colored bird. It has a reddish tail and whitish-gray streaks on the bottom part of the body. Both males and females look alike. This bird is an omnivore kind of bird. It means they eat both plants and other animals. This bird has its natural enemies these are rats, foxes, cats, lizards, snakes, and large predatory birds.
This bird has a very short lifespan. It can survive 1 to 3 years in the wild. Nightingale’s singing serves as inspiration for many famous musicians. The main for nightingale is seeds, nuts, and fruits
How to Draw a Nightingale
Materials
- Pencil
- Paper
- Coloring material
Instructions
1. Draw the Head
Let’s begin the tutorial by drawing the head of your nightingale. For the head, we’ll be using a perfect circle. Draw a perfect circle on the upper right portion of your paper. You can use an object to trace a perfect circle for the head.
2. Add the Beak
The beak has an important role to the birds because through the beak they can gather food not just for themselves but also for their family. To create the beak, from the upper right portion of the head draw a slightly curved line going upward. Then, from the tip of the curved line, draw another curved line going downward. This curved line will overlap a little with the head. After that enclosed those two curved lines with a vertical curved line inside the head.
3. Draw the Eyes and Erase extra lines
The eyes are very important for them to see the creation of our God. To do this, on the upper right portion of the head draw a letter C facing upward. Then, erase some extra lines inside the beak of your bird.
4. Add the Beak Below
Again, beaks are very important to the birds. We will be using a letter V-shape for the beak of the bird. Draw a V-shape from the lower portion of the first beak going down. Then, draw a curved line going inside the head and enclosed it with a short line going upward.
5. Draw the Crown
If you observed a bird has a cute feather on the top of its head. To draw this, let’s draw three up-down strokes on the top of the head. This feather looks like a crown in the fairy movies. Make sure that the feather is connected to the head.
6. Clean up
Cleaning or erasing some lines in your drawing would be a great help to achieve your nightingale. Erase the lines that separate the feather and the head of the bird. Make sure that the feather that looks like a crown will remain and that both sides of the crown are still connected.
7. Draw the Body
The next thing that we need to do is to draw the body of your bird. Draw a V-shape from the lower-left portion of the head. From the tip of the V-shape draw a curve line from the V-shape to the lower portion of the head.
8. Add the Feet
Feet are one of the most important body parts of a living creature without feet they cannot walk. Now, let’s draw the feet of the bird by drawing a curved under the body of the bird. Make sure that it is still connected to the lower portion of the body.
9. Erase Extra Lines
In this step, you’ll just simply erase some line that is not important to the drawing. Now, erase the lines that separate the body and the feet of your nightingale. Make sure that the two feet are visible.
10. Draw the Wings
Wings are very important for them to fly mostly, especially if they are finding food and escape from the predators. To draw the wings, draw a slanting teardrop on the upper portion of the body. This teardrop will overlap the upper portion of the body.
11. Erase extra lines
Hurray! We are now on the second to the last of your drawing. One more step and you will see your lovely bird. In this step, you’ll just simply erase the lines that you’ve seen inside the wings of the nightingale.
12. Finish up!
Congratulations you made it. Now color your nightingale according to its color. But you can also color yours in a different color since this bird is yours. So feel free to choose a beautiful color for your lovely bird.
