1. Do you know how many pigs there are in the world? About Two billion. But you can’t find pigs in Antarctica.

2. The Bahamas has a place where you can find pigs only. No humans live there. Yes, that’s right. The area is called Big Major Cay or Pig Beach. Here, pigs have a fun time swimming in the ocean.

3. Pigs eat other animals and plants, so they’re omnivores like humans. They use their snout to find food. 

4. Some people eat pig meat, such as bacon, pork, and ham. An adult pig can weigh between 300 and 700 pounds, but a piglet can weigh 2.5 pounds at birth. Have you ever heard of Big Bill from Tennessee? He was the heaviest pig to hit 2,552 pounds in 1933. That was a monster of a pig.

5. If you think your dog is smart, wait a second. Pigs are more intelligent than other domestic animals like cows and dogs.

6. What about their ability to remember? Pigs have good memories because they can remember places, people, and food sources.

7. To chat with each other, pigs use squeals and grunts. When you hear these noises, know that serious talk is going on.

8. A domestic pig is sociable. It’s easy for it to live peacefully with other humans. You can keep it as a pet.

9. Pigs that live in the forest are wild boars. They can destroy crops.
