Growing up, I used to be very fond of airplanes. I mean, who wasn’t? The noise that we’d hear to signal a plane either taking off or landing is something that we all looked forward to. It’s no surprise that our kids are equally fond of the same thing as they are growing up. This is why I know for a fact that they’ll enjoy going through these airplane coloring pages. In fact, when we use these coloring pages the correct way, they can give us a doorway to teach our kids STEM subjects. Let’s see how we can make learning about airplanes fun for everyone.

The Invention of Airplanes
When we encourage our kids to take a moment and observe the sky, we hardly ever tell them more about the invention of our favorite mode of transportation. With enough research, it is evident that the people who invented the earliest airplanes were inspired by different things in nature. In fact, there was a lot of scientific analysis of birds. This is why airplanes have wings that resemble those of animals that can fly, particularly our bird species. When we color in our airplane coloring pages, we will have a lot of wings to observe. These come in different sizes as well since our airplanes can be big or small.
Repurposing Airplane Coloring Pages
The great news is that there are loads of different learning materials that we can use to teach our kids about airplanes. Yet, none of them compare to our interactive coloring pages. The fact is that once we are done coloring our pages, we can repurpose them. These are some of the ways that we can try out to make the most of our completed airplane coloring pages.
I love finding ways to turn a simple project into useful decorations. Decorations are always a great addition to bring life into any part of the house. It’s even better when it’s our kids who’ve taken the time to create them. When our kids love airplanes, it’s always a great idea to have paper ornaments to decorate with around the house. This can even inspire them to become pilots one day. We can place these in the foyer or our kids bedroom.
2. Wall Art
We can never go wrong with turning our finished airplane coloring pages into wall art. Plus, it’s the easiest way that we can repurpose our coloring pages. All that we should have is glue to stick these onto a wooden panel. Then, we can hang these anywhere around the house.
3. Greeting Cards
We can even create a unique variation of greeting cards that our kids can send to their friends. If there’s a birthday coming up, a birthday gift that’s accompanied by a personalized airplane greeting card sounds like a winner. We don’t even need to do much to make these cards worth looking at. Make sure to cut the page precisely to avoid cutting out the parts that you’ve spent the day coloring to perfection.
We can’t have fun with DIY craft projects without including making any coasters. Besides, these aren’t just fun for our kids to make. But, they can come in handy when we decide to host our family and friends for a long overdue dinner party. There are different ways that we can create coasters. However, keeping it simple is the best way that we can go. And it also helps to keep our kids excited to do yet another fun project. Especially, after they’ve had fun using different colors to bring these coloring pages to life.
