Most airplane printables draw a plane on an empty sky; these draw the whole apparatus around it — the glazed control tower, the jet bridge folded against the fuselage, baggage trucks and fuel bowsers on the apron, runway markings running to the horizon. For a child who is about to fly for the first time, that is a far more useful page than a plane on its own.

Propeller planes and biplanes
Six pages take a different era: a biplane with its double wing and struts, a single-engine plane over a patchwork of fields, a seaplane beside a terminal, a formation of three propeller aircraft over mountains, a bear parachuting from a biplane. The struts, wires and propeller blades are the finest lines in the set.
Hot air balloons

How to print these
Every page is US Letter (8.5 × 11 in), pure black and white, with the drawing inside the printable margin. Plain copy paper is fine; choose “Fit to page” if your printer asks. Print the airport and biplane pages at normal or best quality — the window rows and wing struts are thin enough to disappear in draft mode.
