Who is Kung Fu Panda?

The main character in the story is Po, a panda bear who lives in the Valley of Peace in China. Everyone in the village thinks he is lazy, but Po dreams of becoming a Kung Fu master and saving his friends from danger. Little does he know; he will get the chance of becoming a Kung Fu legend even though he does not even know the art of Kung Fu.

When the danger appears in the form of a vicious snow leopard, Tai Lung, who threatens the villagers in the Valley of Peace, Po doesn’t have a choice but to study Kung Fu and defeat Tai Lung.
Po trains under the guidance of Master Shifu, and through a series of wild high-kicking adventures, he manages to thwart Tai Lung’s evil plans.

How to color Kung Fu Panda pages?

When you see a drawing of a scene from a Kung Fu Panda movie, you have two choices. You can either stick mostly to the colors you saw in the movie or choose your own colors to fill in the drawn lines and bring your version of Po (or the other characters) to life.

In the movie, Po is a panda and has mostly two colors, white and black. His head is white with two black ears and black patches around the eyes. His arms and legs are black, and there is a black stripe across his shoulders and chest. The large tummy is white. You can add a splash of color to his outfits. In the original movie animation, Po is wearing brownish pants. But there is no reason why Po’s pants cannot be purple or blue in your coloring pages, or you can use any other of your favorite colors.

The lovely thing about coloring is that you are in charge of the design. You can decide what colors to use, and there is no right or wrong way to do it. If you happen to love pink, nothing stops you from making Po pink.

What should you use to color in Kung Fu Panda pages?

Coloring is as personal and unique as you are. So, depending on what you have available in your coloring supplies or what you like to use on other pages, you can use those materials on Kung Fu Panda pages.
A variety of crayons, markers, gel pens, watercolors, or even oil paints can be used to color in Po and his friends. There are many different coloring mediums available. You don’t have to stick to one type. For instance, you can use markers to color the main parts of the drawing and then use crayons to add texture and details. Let your imagination guide you.

Many colorists use multiple coloring implements on the same page. Usually, large areas like the background can be colored with watercolors or wide tipped markers, while small areas like details around the eyes, paws, and clothing can be colored with pencil crayons. The finer crayon brands give better color coverage and produce brighter hues, but they are more expensive. However, there is nothing wrong with using cheaper brands. You can always achieve a brighter hue by placing a couple of layers of color on the page.
