9 Amazing Types of Beyblade Toys for Ultimate Fun

This is a close look at various colorful Beyblade toys on a table.

If you were not a preteen in the early 2000s, you might be either too young or too old to know what a Beyblade is. I am not ashamed to admit I am in the too old category. While I do understand what they are, I am too old to have played with them. If you know what a Beyblade is, you may be excited to find more about your beloved toys. If you have no clue what I am talking about, have no fear, this article will explain Beyblades and toys like Beyblade.

What are Beyblades?

Beyblades are similar to spinning tops but slightly different. The Beyblades first made an appearance in the early 2000s and targeted those ages 8 to 14. It was a combined release of the toy, the Japanese Manga Series, the anime series on television, and the video game. The Beyblades also line up with the CoroCoro comic.

The most basic concept of the Beyblade is that you spin it in an attempt to knock out your opponent’s Bey or break them. These toys spin around at high speeds to the Beyblade battle opponents and become the best Beyblade. A Beyblade toy is often referred to as Bey and has many parts. These parts are interchangeable. There is the attack ring, the weight disk, and a performance tip.

Attack Ring

The attack ring is often referred to as the energy layer. This ring is a plastic ring that contacts a rival Bey in an attempt to break them or stop their spinning.

Weight Disk

The weight disk is also called a forge disk. The weight is a metal disk, and it dictates how much the Bey weighs and how that weight is distributed.

Performance Tip

The performance tip is what comes into contact with the beystadium. The size and shape of it are integral in the stamina and speed of the Bey.

Spin Gears

A spin gear is a small part that looks like a gear. This gear determines the direction in which the Bey rotates. It can rotate to the right, which is a clockwise spine. It can also turn to the left, which is a counter-clockwise spin. The spin gear also holds the Beyblade together.

Blade Base

The blade base is similar to the spin gear. This gear also determines the direction in which the Bey rotates. It can rotate to the right, which is a clockwise spine. It can also turn to the left, which is a counter-clockwise spin.

A stadium is where the battle takes place. It is also called a Beystadium. The stadium is a plastic tub that is shallow. Each stadium offers different types of features. There are some common features between all the different stadiums. Cyclone ridge allows the attack bey to move fast without knocking itself out of play. Cyclone points are disks on the floor of the stadium that are recessed. They are able to spin freely to add surprise to the fight.

A launcher is used to spin the top in a stadium and therefore into a battle. You hold the launcher in your hand and pull the ripcord that is made out of plastic that helps to start the spin. The Ripcord Launcher has an impact on the way the battle ends. You can use different angles to dodge an attack, prompt an attack, or have a longer spin.

These new Beyblade have burst tops. The battle ends with a burst finish that causes the top of the opponent Bey to bust.

The Beyblade metal fusion is another storyline within the universe of Beyblade. This line brought new categories of toys under the same name. This particular line of Beyblades has a cosmic theme to it. Many of the tops are named after zodiac signs. The metal fusion line has a launcher that is a string launcher. This version of the launcher has a longer neck that helps to reduce the possibility of it breaking. It is not compatible with any of the other Beyblade lines.

This line also includes a fusion wheel. The fusion wheel has many different purposes, including determining the weight of the Bey, as well as how it will engage in battle. The fusion wheel is part of the top of the metal sage Beyblades.

The energy ring is also called the clear wheel. This ring is part of the hybrid wheel system and then is used as part of the 4D system. The energy ring was discontinued as part of the synchrome system.

Pokemon

This is a close look at a bunch of Pokemon Cards.

Pokemon are creatures of different sizes and shapes that live with their humans. They do not speak and are raised to answer to the command of their owners. These are also called trainers. As they experience new things, they grow and become stronger. Pokemon and Beyblades are based on Japanese animation.

Pokemon is entirely different because, at its base, it is a card game. The player builds a deck of cards around their Pokemon. The Pokemon goes into battle to prove how is the best trainer. There are themed decks and booster packs. These boosters give a player more cards, create a diverse deck, and gain strength.

FAQs

Which Beyblades Should I Buy?

With the different Beyblades available, it may be difficult to know which one you should purchase. You do not always have to buy the newest version, but it is important to note that the versions may not be compatible with all versions. The latest version is always more powerful than the older version. The newer version of Beyblades usually has a combination of all the existing Beyblades.
